What Version of Excel do I need?

Awesome Forecast is a software application that works in conjunction with Microsoft Excel. It is compatible with all versions although the Waterfall graphs only work on Version 2016 and newer.

Do I need Microsoft Office?

Yes, Awesome Forecast runs in conjunction with Microsoft Excel so it does need to have Microsoft Office installed. It will not run on an iMac.

32 Bit or 64 Bit Operating System

Awesome Forecast is universal software which runs on any 32 bit or 64 bit operating system 

Awesome Forecast doesn't load?

In the unlikely event that there has been an incomplete Microsoft Office installation on your PC, it is possible on Loading, having entered your activation key and after selecting “Original Workbook”, Awesome Forecast doesn’t load any further.

 

Awesome Forecast is an EXE application that runs in conjunction with Microsoft Excel. On Loading, Awesome Forecast will call and boot up your local EXCEL.EXE file.

 

It is possible for there to be a problem on a User’s machine because of your local registry settings or the EXCEL.EXE application isn’t stored in the standard (expected) place because of an incomplete Microsoft Office installation. This could mean that Awesome Forecast cannot fire up Excel. 

A common suggested fix is to run Microsoft’s 365 Office Repair routine which fixes any unexpected installation faults & registry settings.

 

Follow these instructions for Windows 10, 8.1 and 8

  • On the Windows Start screen, type Control Panel
  • Click or tap Control Panel
  • Under Programs, click or tap Uninstall a program 
  • Click or tap Microsoft 365 and then click or tap Change
  • Click or tap Quick Repair, and then click or tap Repair. Once finished, restart your machine
  • Restart Awesome Forecast
