29 Dec Is the Stock Market having a Santa Rally?

A Santa Rally is where the stock market rises in the last five trading sessions of the year and the first two of the new year. It has happened 80% of the time since 1928 in the US.

The FTSE was at 7200 on the 20th December and is at 7430 as I write this on the 29th Dec, a 3% gain. However volatility continues with frequent swings up and down. Consensus of opinion that I have read for 2022 is for modest gains assuming no further shocks.
